Dementia Friendly Barnet
Barnet is driven by a commitment to becoming an age and dementia friendly borough. The Dementia Friendly Barnet Action Plan focuses on building a more understanding community. A key part of this plan is training to empower key service providers and residents with the knowledge needed to support those living with dementia.
Understanding dementia training – Dementia Club UK
Barnet Public Health have commissioned Dementia Club UK to deliver understanding dementia training.
The course is suitable for individuals, voluntary members, healthcare professionals, organisations & businesses, and will certify you as a Dementia Champion. Also, the training supports businesses and organisations as they work towards becoming dementia friendly.
The free course provides a core understanding of dementia, its impact and effective prevention strategies. The training is Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited and can be delivered remotely or face-to-face.
