Discover The Network – free mental health support via groups and 1-1 guidance
This Mental Health Awareness Week (12-18th May), we’re highlighting local health and wellbeing services in Barnet.
The Network - Barnet’s Adult Mental Health Enablement Service – is here to support you through emotional distress, recovery, and personal growth.
The Network offers free, local support through group programmes, 1-to-1 guidance, and signposting to helpful services. It's open to adults in Barnet who want to improve their wellbeing, build resilience, or take positive life steps.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, or feeling isolated, The Network is a place to be heard, supported, and empowered.
Suicide Prevention Through Hope and Action
A standout success is ‘Hope Through Action’, Barnet’s first suicide prevention psychosocial group. Created in collaboration with Public Health Barnet and local residents, the group offers fast-tracked support to those in crisis.
Participants helped co-produce a pocket-sized Suicide Prevention Manual, which is now available online and in libraries, health services, and community centres. The manual is a practical guide on how to stay safe, spot warning signs, and access urgent help.
It reminds us: you are not alone, and things can get better.
Testimonials from people visiting the service
“Excellent course. Everybody should attend.”
“I now recognise warning signs and feel confident asking for help.”
“Learned to wait. Not to be impulsive.”
These comments are from real Barnet residents who’ve found the support, tools, and hope they needed through The Network’s services.
