Walk for Hope: Taking steps towards your mental health and wellbeing

Strong communities play a vital role in supporting mental health and wellbeing. Feeling connected to others can help reduce loneliness, encourage people to seek support and provide a sense of belonging. Community connection is an important part of maintaining good mental health. Taking time to talk, listen and support one another can help break down feelings of isolation and remind people that help is available when they need it.

Join Walk for Hope on Tuesday 22 September 2026 at Montrose Park, Silkstream Rd, Edgware, HA8 0DD. The event aims to promote mental wellbeing, connection and hope by creating opportunities for local people to come together in a welcoming and supportive environment.

No tickets to book or form to fill in, just come along at 2.30pm outside UNITAS for an organised community walk from 3pm to 3.45pm, with available support and activities continuing in the park until 6.30pm. Throughout the afternoon, volunteers in yellow T-shirts will be available for a chat, support, advice and signposting to local services.

Whether you join the walk, stop by for a conversation or want to learn more about the support available in the local area, Barnet’s Walk for Hope offers an opportunity to connect with others, share experiences and take a positive step towards better wellbeing.

We look forward to seeing you there.
