Vital funding awarded for suicide prevention work in Barnet
Colindale Communities Trust (CCT) is among many North London-based organisations to have been awarded funding of up to £10,000 to provide better support for people having suicidal thoughts.
As well as CCT, Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS) will also be delivering support for Barnet residents through the help of a grant while the activities of some of the other organisations given funding will be available to those who live in the borough.
One of the main aims of the funding, which has been allocated via the North Central London Suicide Prevention Programme, is to make sure support is available at the earliest opportunity to prevent escalation of mental health crisis and, in turn, reduce existing pressures on the NHS.
