Taking exams? There’s always someone to support you
We’re in the middle of exam season and it is vital that you feel well-supported and able to reach out for help if you need it.
Taking exams can make it a stressful time, and many young people feel pressure in different ways and will be having lots of thoughts before and after exams, about their revision - and the future.
But you’re never alone – there are people ready to talk to you, and a range of services and resources available in Barnet to help you think more clearly and relieve the pressure:
- Young Minds has loads of useful advice and information; and you can also find support on the Barnet Council website.
- Barnet Integrated Clinical Service (BICS) offers social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health support to children, young people and families in Barnet; you can also email BICS@barnet.gov.uk or phone 020 8359 3130 (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday);
- Kooth is an anonymous and confidential online counselling and emotional wellbeing platform for children and young people aged 12 to 24. It offers advice on discussion boards with other young people, magazine articles, and weekly live forums.
If you, or someone you know, needs urgent mental health support, please call 111 and select Option 2.
