Move, rest and connect this World Wellbeing Week
World Wellbeing Week is a global awareness initiative focused on improving health and wellbeing in the workplace and wider society, encouraging organisations to pause, reflect, and take meaningful steps that support employee wellbeing.
Running from 24 to 30 June, World Wellbeing Week is about focusing on small, simple steps which can, in many cases, be made part of an employee’s daily routine and will help to support wellbeing. The best ideas are easy to join, inclusive for all roles, and realistic to repeat:
- Move – take breaks, use the stairs if you’re able to, keep hydrated, and hold ‘walking’ meetings.
- Rest – take your full lunch break or create a good ‘wind-down’ routine before bed.
- Connection – check in with a colleague just to say “hello” and ask how they are.
If you feel you need extra support with your mental wellbeing, please do find out what is available through your employer; this could be an employee assistance programme or occupational health service.
